YAKI SUGI
Yaki Sugi (or also called Shou Sugi Ban in Europe ) is a traditional Japanese cladding heat treated on the outward face. It is extensively used for exterior wall surfaces throughout Japan. Installed vertically or horizontally to great effect.
Modern architecture has embraced the Yaki Sugi techniques for its character and reliability. Yaki Sugi (Shou Sugi Ban) is accepted worldwide as a desirable wood cladding for both its technical and cosmetic features, and is considered a contempory, high-design building material solution.
